All Amaka wants on this glorious autumn day is to go out and play. But first, she must do what her mummy says- she must practice her Igbo words. “I can’t speak Igbo!” she declares, but when faced with the possibility of staying indoors for the day, Amaka embarks on a mission to impress her mummy. Well, can she or can she not speak Igbo?

“I Can’t Speak Igbo is a clever story that aims to teach children how to speak Igbo, a native language of Nigeria. Through this unique learning experience, children are introduced to simple Igbo words that will teach them about the body. With fun and interactive activity pages and illustrations, I Can’t Speak Igbo, aims to keep the Igbo language alive, in young children in diaspora and in Nigeria.
